Apart from her MBL, ICF, IMCSA and being a Chartered Director, Marichen is a qualified yoga teacher, laughter therapist, reiki master and has completed metaphysical studies. We care! At present Marichen’s two focus points are:

• Wildlife conservation via support to the Citizen Leader Lab Trust and sponsoring a cheetah at the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Conservation centre.
• Making a positive contribution to education via the Partners for Possibility programme (more below), and giving motivational talks at schools.
• Supporting cancer awareness each October with free yoga classes and donations go to CANSA.
• Working with Beeheroes to educate and support healthy beekeeping in South Africa, while uplifting local communities.

Marichen is a lead facilitator for the Tshwane Leadership circle for Partners for Possibility, an initiative that contributes to the transformation of education in South Africa. Partners for Possibility is a creative solution to South Africa’ education crisis and its success lies in its partnership process, which joins business leaders with principals from under-resourced schools in a year-long leadership development programme. The programme facilitates cross-sectoral reciprocal partnerships between business, government and the social sector. Since 2010 the project has been supporting and developing school principals by partnering business leaders (with skills and knowledge of leading change) with school principals in co-action and co-learning Partnerships for Possibility across the country.

Marichen Mortimer and Associates have been involved since 2014. She has to date worked with over 140 leaders and guided them through a year-long leadership development programme as lead coach and facilitator.
